The Age Care rules & the Centrelink rules about the home are different, & for many seem to contradict each other
There are misconceptions that exist that the home MUST be sold 2 years after moving into aged care - This is NOT correct, the home does NOT have to be sold at all if you don't wish to. The issue is can we afford aged care if the home is retained, & for many people this is quite possible.
